Ledges Playhouse ~ Fitzgerald Park ~ Grand Ledge, MI
The Ledges Playhouse is located ten miles west of Lansing in Grand Ledge's Fitzgerald Park. Built in 1895 as a spiritualists
pavillion, (local legend is that it is haunted by the ghost
of Ezra Pandermacher, the leader of a spiritualist movement who was mysteriously found dead beneath the ledges in 1903)
it served as a dance hall and speakeasy during the 1920's, parachute factory during world war II, and a roller skating
rink in the early 50's. In 1956 it was renovated into a theater. From April through September The Ledges Playhouse is
the home of Capital TheaterWorks.
